Ministry of Cooperation Recruitment 2025 for First Vice-Chancellor of TSU : Overview
The Government of India, Ministry of Cooperation, is seeking applications for the appointment of the first Vice-Chancellor of “Tribhuvan” Sahkari University (TSU). TSU is a new university established in the state of Gujarat by an Act of Parliament and assented to by the President of India on April 3, 2025. The Vice-Chancellor will serve as both the academic and administrative head of the university.

- Post: First Vice-Chancellor of “Tribhuvan” Sahkari University (TSU)
- Salary: Pay of Level-17 (Rs. 2,25,000/- Fixed per month) in the pay matrix of the 7th CPC, along with other pay and allowances as provided by the TSU Act, 2025, Statutes, and Ordinances of the University.
- Terms and Conditions: The terms and conditions of services will be as set forth in the TSU Act, 2025, Statutes, and Ordinances of the University, amended from time to time.
Ministry of Cooperation Recruitment 2025 : Eligibility Criteria
The Vice-Chancellor, being the academic as well as administrative head, is expected to be:
- A person possessing the highest level of competence, integrity, morals, and institutional commitment.
- A person shall be eligible for appointment as Vice-Chancellor if he has a minimum of ten years’ experience, —
- as a Professor in a higher educational institution; or
- at a senior level in reputed research or academic administrative organizations; or
- at a senior level in industry or cooperative sector, public administration, public policy, or public sector undertakings, with a proven track record of significant academic or scholarly contributions.
- Preferably not more than 65 years of age on the closing date of receipt of applications of this advertisement.

Selection Process
The first Vice-Chancellor shall be appointed by the Central Government out of a panel of three names recommended by the Search cum Selection Committee constituted for this purpose, as per TSU Act, 2025 and Statutes of the University.
