The Airports Authority of India (AAI), Regional Headquarters (Northern Region), is inviting applications for a one-year Apprenticeship Training Program for the year 2025-26. This program is for eligible Indian Nationals who are domiciles of Chandigarh, Delhi, Haryana, Himachal Pradesh, Jammu & Kashmir, Leh Ladakh, Madhya Pradesh, Punjab, Rajasthan, Uttar Pradesh, and Uttarakhand. The training will take place at various airports in the Northern Region.1

The total number of tentative seats is 197. The number of posts are tentative and can be reduced or increased.
AAI Recruitment 2025 : Duration of Training
The duration of the apprenticeship training for all categories is 1 year (12 months) from the commencement of the Contract of Apprenticeship.
AAI Recruitment 2025 : Monthly Stipend
- Graduate (Degree) Apprentices: Rs. 15,000 (Rs. 10,500 AAI Share + Rs. 4,500 Govt. Share through DBT)
- Technical (Diploma) Apprentices: Rs. 12,000 (Rs. 8,000 AAI Share + Rs. 4,000 Govt. Share through DBT)
- Trade Apprentices (ITI): Rs. 9,000
AAI Recruitment 2025 : Locations of Apprenticeship Training
Apprenticeship training will be conducted at various airports and offices in the Northern Region, including but not limited to: Adampur, Agra, Aligarh, Amritsar, Ayodhya, Azamgarh, Bareilly, Bathinda, Bikaner, CATC, Chitrakoot, Dehradun, Farrukhabad, Fursatganh, Gorakhpur, Gwalior, Hindon, Jaipur, Jaisalmer, Jammu, Jodhpur, Kangra, Kanpur, Khajuraho, Kishangarh, Kullu, Kushinagar, Leh, Lucknow, Ludhiana, Meerut, Moradabad, Pantnagar, Pathankot, Pithoragarh, Prayagraj, Safdarjung, Shravasti, Shimla, Srinagar, Udaipur, Varanasi, and various offices in New Delhi. Selected candidates will preferably be posted at locations in the Northern Region & Madhya Pradesh based on their registration location (in portal).
AAI Recruitment 2025 : Eligibility Criteria
Educational Qualification
- Graduate/Diploma: Candidates must possess a full-time (regular) four-year degree or three-year (regular) diploma in Engineering in the mentioned streams, recognized by AICTE, GOI.
- ITI Trade: Candidates must possess an ITI/NCVT certificate in Computer Operator Programming Assistant & Steno trades from institutions recognized by AICTE, GOI.
Domicile
Only Indian Nationals who are domiciles of Chandigarh, Delhi, Haryana, Himachal Pradesh, Jammu & Kashmir, Leh Ladakh, Madhya Pradesh, Punjab, Rajasthan, Uttar Pradesh, and Uttarakhand are eligible.
Year of Passing
Candidates who passed their degree/diploma in or after 2021 are eligible.
AAI Recruitment 2025 : Age Limit
The minimum age is 18 years and the maximum age is 26 years as on August 11, 2025. Relaxation in the upper age limit for categories like SC/ST/OBC/PWBD will be as per Government of India guidelines.
Other Conditions
- Candidates who have already completed their apprenticeship or terminated it midway or are pursuing in other organizations or in AAI with the same qualification level, shall not be eligible.
- Candidates who have already undergone apprenticeship training/job experience for a period of 1 year or more after the attainment of essential qualifications, shall not be eligible.
- Apprentices shall have to undergo Apprenticeship training at notified Airports/Establishments, and the allocated location will be final with no change entertained later.
AAI Recruitment 2025 : How to Apply
Interested candidates are required to apply through the respective web portals:
- For Graduate/Diploma Apprentices: www.nats.education.gov.in
- For ITI Trade Apprentices: www.apprenticeshipindia.org
Candidates should register themselves on the concerned portal (NATS/NAPS) prior to applying for apprenticeship training in AAI. Registered Applications received online through NATS/NAPS portal will only be considered; other correspondence will not be entertained. After successful application, a confirmation message will be shown by the portal. No application fee is being charged. Candidates applying for more than one discipline will not be considered and their application will be rejected.
AAI Recruitment 2025 : Selection Process
- Provisional Selection: The provisional selection of the candidate shall be made based on the percentage of marks obtained in the qualifying examination. Date of birth and thereafter date of passing will be taken as seniority in case of equal percentage of marks of the candidates. CGPA shall be converted into percentage as per the norms of the concerned Educational Board/University.
- Document Verification: Eligible candidates shall be called for document verification at the establishment office through registered email-ids only. The date, time and venue for document verification shall be intimated accordingly. Candidates would be required to furnish original documents and submit self-attested copies and soft copies thereof. The shortlisted candidates will be called for Interview/Document verification through their registered email IDs only.
- Medical Examination: Final selection of the candidates in each seat shall be made after verification of documents and found fit in medical examination. The Medical Fitness Certificate is to be obtained only from a Government Medical officer/Medical Officer of a Government Undertaking at the time of joining. Shortlisted candidates merely attending the document verification process or medical examination does not entitle selection of his candidature.
- Final Selection: After document verification and obtaining process or medical fitness certificate the candidates shall be selected for training, based on merit and apprentice engagement letter shall be issued. The final selection will be based on Interview/verification of documents and submission of Medical Fitness Certificate at the time of joining. The candidature of the applicant would be provisional, subject to verification of all certificates and submission of Medical Fitness certificate.

Important Notes
- The number of candidates to be engaged is indicative and may change without any further notification.
- During the period of apprenticeship, candidates will be governed by the Apprentices Act, 1961 (as amended in 1973 and till date) and the policies/rules of the organization.
- Reservation for SC/ST, OBC and EWS as applicable will be followed, however, in case of non-availability of candidates in reserved category it will be filled from other reserved categories/general categories.
- Airports Authority of India has no obligation to give regular employment to Apprentices. They shall have no right to claim regular employment from AAI on the basis of this apprenticeship at any point of time. This training program shall not create any liability on AAI for providing any job to the Apprentice. AAI management does not take any responsibility for any sort of employment/placement.
- The decision of Management will be final and binding on all candidates on all matters relating to eligibility, acceptance or rejection of the applications, mode of selection, cancellation of the selection process either in part or full, etc. No correspondence will be entertained in this regard.
- AAI Management does not take any responsibility to reply to the candidate/organization for non-selection /non-issuance of call letter.
- It shall be the sole responsibility of the candidates to get their profile verified from the respective regional Board.
- At any stage of selection process, if it is found that the candidate has furnished false or incorrect information, then the candidature/engagement of the candidate is liable to be cancelled.
