Overview

Bharat Dynamics Limited (BDL), a Miniratna Category-I Public Sector Enterprise under the Ministry of Defence, Government of India, is recruiting eligible Indian Nationals for various positions on a contract (temporary) basis. BDL specializes in manufacturing Anti-Tank Guided Missiles, Strategic Weapons, and other defence equipment for the Indian Armed Forces. Selected candidates may be posted to any of the Company’s Units or Offices across India.

Eligibility Criteria

Age Limit (as on August 10, 2025)

• General/Un-reserved/EWS: 28 years.
• OBC (NCL): 31 years (3-year relaxation).
• SC/ST: 33 years (5-year relaxation).
• PwBD: 10 years relaxation over and above category relaxation.
• Ex-Servicemen & Commissioned Officers: Maximum 5 years relaxation.
• Jammu & Kashmir Domicile (01.01.1980 to 31.12.1989): 5 years relaxation.

Essential Qualification (as on August 10, 2025)

• Trainee Engineer (Electronics/Mechanical/Electrical/Computer Science): B.E. / B. Tech in Engineering or equivalent in the concerned discipline/branch.
• Trainee Officer (Finance): Cost Management Accountancy (CMA) OR Chartered Accountancy (CA) OR MBA or equivalent / Post Graduate Diploma / Post Graduate Degree in Finance (2 years duration).
• Trainee Officer (Human Resource): MBA or equivalent / Post Graduate Diploma / Post Graduate Degree in HR / PM&IR / Personnel Management / Industrial Relations / Social Science / Social Welfare / Social Work (2 years duration).
• Trainee Officer (Business Development): MBA or equivalent / Post Graduate Diploma / Post Graduate Degree with specialization in Marketing / Sales & Marketing.
• Trainee Diploma Assistant (Electronics/Mechanical/Electrical): 3 years Diploma or equivalent course in relevant discipline recognized by State/Central government.
• Trainee Diploma Assistant (Computer Science): BCA / B.Sc (Computers) (minimum 3-year course) OR 3 years Diploma or equivalent course in relevant discipline recognized by State/Central government.
• Trainee Assistant (Finance): Degree in Commerce/Business Administration (with Finance specialization) with minimum 6 months Computer Course in Office Applications OR Intermediate with CA Inter/ICWA Inter/CS Inter OR Any degree in Science/Economics with 1 year diploma course in Financial Management with minimum 6 months Computer Course in Office Applications.
• Trainee Assistant (Human Resource): Degree in Business Administration, Social Welfare, PM&IR, Personnel Management, HR, Social Sciences with minimum 6 months Computer Course in Office Applications OR Any degree with 1 year diploma course in PM, PM&IR, SW, T&D, HR, Labour Law with minimum 6 months Computer Course in Office Applications.

Minimum Percentage in Essential Qualification

• All candidates: 55% & above (aggregate of all semesters/years).
• SC/ST/PwBD candidates (for reserved posts): 50% & above.
• CMA/CA candidates: Pass in CMA/CA is required.

Tenure of Employment

Positions are on a contract basis, initially for one year, extendable up to a maximum of three more years (total 4 years, including initial year). Further extensions of another 4 years may be granted based on organizational requirement and performance. Contract employees will not have any claim for regular employment.

Remuneration (Consolidated per month)

• Trainee Engineer / Trainee Officer:
  • 1st Year: Rs. 29,500/-.
  • 2nd Year: Rs. 32,500/-.
  • 3rd Year: Rs. 35,500/-.
  • 4th Year: Rs. 38,500/-.
• Trainee Diploma Assistant / Trainee Assistant:
  • 1st Year: Rs. 24,500/-.
  • 2nd Year: Rs. 26,000/-.
  • 3rd Year: Rs. 27,500/-.
  • 4th Year: Rs. 29,000/-.
• Additional Annual Payment: Rs. 10,000/- per year for expenses like Medical Insurance premium, attire allowance, etc., paid in two installments. No other benefits/facilities are applicable.

• Mandatory Documents for Online Application:

  • Qualification Certificates and Semester/Year-wise Mark sheets (Xth, XIIth, Diploma, Qualifying Degree/Essential Qualification, and desirable/additional degrees).
  • Certificate from Institute/University indicating percentage of marks if the degree was awarded in CGPA/OGPA or letter grade.
  • Self-certified translated copy of documents in Hindi/English if originally in another language.
• Candidates are not required to send any documents to BDL. Save the Registration Slip for submission at the time of Interview/document verification.
• The email ID and mobile number provided in the application must remain valid for 12 months for future communication.

Application Fee

• Amount: Rs. 300/- (excluding applicable convenience fee and taxes).
• Payment Mode: Online through SBI e-pay (Debit Card / Credit Card / Net Banking / UPI, etc.).
• Applicable to: UR / EWS / OBC (NCL) Candidates.
• Exempted Categories: SC/ST/PwBD/Ex-Servicemen candidates.
• Application fee is non-refundable.

Selection Process

• Selection will be through a Written Test (Computer Based Online Test – CBoT) followed by an Interview.
• Written Test (CBoT):
  • Duration: Two hours.
  • Total Questions: 120.
  • Content: 100 questions on Subject/Discipline; 20 questions on General Aptitude (Quantitative Aptitude, Reasoning, General English).
  • Qualifying Marks: 50% for all candidates; 40% for OBC (NCL)/SC/ST/PwBD where vacancy is reserved for that category.
• Weightage: 85% for Written Test (CBoT) and 15% for Interview.
• Candidates qualifying the Written Test will be called for Interview in a ratio of 1:7 (maximum 1:10).
• Names of shortlisted candidates and final selections will be notified only on the Company’s website.
• Test Centres: Hyderabad (Telangana) & surroundings, and Visakhapatnam (Andhra Pradesh). Candidates must indicate their preferred test center in the online application.

Important Dates

• Commencement of On-line Registration of Applications: July 17, 2025, at 02:00 PM.²

• Download of Admit Card for Written Test (CBoT): August 18, 2025, at 04:00 PM onwards.
