Eligibility Criteria
1. Educational Qualification
- Football: 12th Pass
- For other disciplines (Archery, Hockey, Volleyball, Badminton), the specific essential qualifications are not detailed in the provided table.
2. Age Limit

- Individual Sports: Represented India at recognized International Competition under recognized NSF/Association of respective Sports.
- Team Sports: Represented India at recognized International Competition under recognized NSF/Association of respective sport.
- 2nd Preference:
- Individual Sports: Medal Winner at Senior National Past Championship conducted by recognized NSF.
- Team Sports: Part of medal-winning team at Senior National Past Championship conducted by recognized NSF.
- 3rd Preference:
- Individual Sports: Medal winner at Khelo India Games OR Medal Winner at National AIU Past Championship.
- Team Sports: Part of medal-winning team at Khelo India Games OR Part of medal-winning team at National AIU past championship.
- 4th Preference:
- Individual Sports: Represented State/UT in Senior National Past Championships conducted by recognized NSF or participation in Khelo India Games.
- Team Sports: Represented State/UT in Senior National Past Championships conducted by recognized NSF or participation in Khelo India Games.
- Note: Past Champion Athletes/Coaches with NIS Certification could also be considered eligible.
Responsibilities of Engaged Athletes/Coaches
- Identification and development of talent for high performance in sports.
- Training a minimum of 30 trainees per center and motivating them.
- Producing personalized training programs.
- Maintaining records of trainees’ performance, evaluation, skills, and fitness.
- Coordinating trainees’ attendance at meetings and other sports events.
- Planning and running activity programs for groups and individuals to achieve maximum performance.
- Finding appropriate competitions for participants.
- Planning work schedule in consultation with the competent authority/Director (S&YA)/KIC.
- Submitting detailed monthly evaluation reports of trainee’s performances to the Director (S&YA)/KIC/Department of S&YA Office.
- Any other assignments/work allocated by the competent authority.
Performance Management
- Evaluating performance and providing suitable feedback, balancing criticism with positivity and motivation.
- Assessing strengths and weaknesses and identifying areas for further development.
- Adapting to the needs and interests of group or individual trainees.
- Communicating instructions and commands using clear, simple language.
- Encouraging participants to gain and develop skills, knowledge, and techniques.
- Ensuring trainees train and perform to a high standard of health and safety.
- Inspiring confidence and self-belief.
- Acting as a role model, gaining respect and trust.
- Liaising with other partners in performance management (Coaches, Physiotherapists, Doctors, Nutritionists).
- Working to high legal and ethical standards, especially concerning child safeguarding, gender equality, health and safety, and protection from sexual harassment.

Selection Process
- Applications will be scrutinized and shortlisted based on eligibility criteria.
- Only shortlisted candidates will be called for an interview.

Important Dates

General Conditions
- Tenure: One year, extendable based on satisfactory performance and coterminous with the Khelo India Scheme.
- Allowances: No TA/DA for joining or completing the assignment. No other facilities like DA, Accommodation, Residential Phone, Conveyance Transport, Personal Staff, Medical reimbursement, HRA, and LTC will be admissible.
- Leave: 2.5 days per month; no leave encashment for unveiled leave.
- Official Travel: If required to travel outstation for official duty, TA/DA will be admissible under SYA/SSC rules.
- Termination:
- Services may be discontinued with one month’s notice if performance is unsatisfactory.
- Immediate termination without obligations if found guilty of violating employment conditions or misconduct (negligence, unauthorized absence, etc.).
- Final Authority: Decision of the Department of Sports & Youth Affairs in all matters (eligibility, selection, posting) is final and binding. No representation or correspondence will be entertained.
- The Department reserves the right to cancel the advertisement and/or selection process at any stage without assigning any reason.
- The Director (Sports & Youth Affairs), A&N Administration, is the final authority in case of any dispute.
- The appointment is purely contractual and does not confer any right to claim permanent employment.
- The organization reserves the right to terminate the contract with one month’s notice.
- A panel of candidates may be drawn, valid for one year, and the Department reserves the right to cancel the panel without assigning any reason.
