Himachal Pradesh Government Launches Key Environmental Initiative
Shimla: The Directorate of Energy Government of Himachal Pradesh, has initiated a significant environmental project by inviting proposals from qualified consultancy agencies and organizations. This initiative, a Notice Inviting Proposal (NIP), seeks to conduct a comprehensive Cumulative Impact Assessment (CIA) for the Beas River Basin. The project is being undertaken under the World Bank-funded “Himachal Pradesh Power Sector Development Program.”
Project Aims to Gauge Impact on Key River Basin
The primary objective of the CIA is to evaluate the collective effects of various activities—such as hydropower projects, infrastructure development, and industrial operations—on the Beas River Basin.
