Overview

CSIR-National Institute of Science Communication and Policy Research (CSIR-NISCPR), New Delhi, a multidisciplinary national research laboratory, is inviting applications from Indian citizens for a Walk-in-Interview to engage Project Staff for the “Jigyasa 2.0” project (HCP-0101).

• Project Associate-I
  • Number of Positions: 01
  • Monthly Emoluments:
    • Rs. 31,000/- + HRA: For candidates who have qualified CSIR-UGC/ICAR/ICMR NET (including Lectureship/Assistant Professorship) or GATE, or National Level Examinations conducted by Central Government Departments (like DBT/DST) or equivalent agencies/institutions.
    • Rs. 25,000/- + HRA: For others who do not fall under the above category.
• Project Associate-II
  • Number of Positions: 01
  • Monthly Emoluments:
    • Rs. 35,000/- + HRA: For those candidates who have qualified CSIR-UGC/ICAR/ICMR NET (including Lectureship/Assistant Professorship) or GATE, or National Level Examinations conducted by Central Government Departments (like DBT/DST) or equivalent agencies/institutions.
    • Rs. 28,000/- + HRA: For others who do not fall under the above category.

Eligibility Criteria

Project Associate-I

• Essential Qualification:
  • Master’s / Integrated Masters in Natural or Agricultural or Pharmaceutical Sciences / MVSC / Animal Sciences OR Bachelor’s Degree in Engineering or Technology or Medicines from a recognized University or equivalent.
• Maximum Age: 35 years (age relaxation as per rule).
• Desirable: Knowledge of Computer, Game Development, Knowledge of Simulation Development.

Project Associate-II

• Essential Qualification:
  • (i) Master’s / Integrated Masters in Natural or Agricultural or Pharmaceutical Sciences / MVSc / Animal Sciences OR Bachelor’s Degree in Engineering or Technology or Medicines from a recognized University or equivalent AND 02 years experience in Research & Development in industrial and Academic institutions or Science & Technology Organizations and Scientific Activities and services.
  • OR
  • (ii) Master’s / Integrated Masters in Engineering or Technology from a recognized University.
• Maximum Age: 35 years (age relaxation as per rule).
• Desirable: Knowledge of Video Development, Knowledge of Workshop related activities, Working experience of background work involved in organizing various competitive programs and modes of engagement of students.

General Eligibility Guidelines

• The upper age limit is reckoned as on the date of the interview.
• Only candidates who have acquired the essential qualification and whose result has been declared (should have at least a provisional certificate) are eligible.
• Result awaited / Final semester appeared candidates are not eligible.
• Experience, where required, will be counted from the date after acquiring the essential minimum educational qualification.
• Dissertation/thesis work during the academic period will not be counted as experience.
• Part-time, daily wages, visiting/guest faculty experience will not be counted.
• Time spent in acquiring higher qualification will not be counted as experience over essential qualification.
• Mere fulfillment of minimum qualification does not guarantee selection.

How to Apply

Candidates are required to come for the interview with a duly filled application in the prescribed format (available on Page 4 of the advertisement). They must bring all original certificates and a set of self-attested photocopies of the same in support of age, qualification, and experience for verification. Incomplete applications will be rejected.²

The selection of the Project staff will be based on:

• Academic records
• Performance in a test (if applicable)
• Interview

General Guidelines and Terms & Conditions

Tenure and Contract

• The project staff positions are on a contract basis and will be up to March 31, 2026, or co-terminus with the project(s).
• The total tenure of project staff under CSIR-NISCPR or any other CSIR laboratories/institutes under contract R&D projects will not exceed six years.
• No upgradation of project staff will be done in the same or a new project.
• The offer letter will be initially for a period of 6 months, and an extension will be based on performance assessment by a review committee and fund availability.
• No claim for a permanent position shall be entertained.

Joining and Termination

• Selected candidates are expected to join within the time frame mentioned in the offer letter after completing pre-appointment formalities (medical examination, character verification, etc.).
• Engagement under a new project requires submission of “No Demand Certificate,” “No Dues Certificate,” and resignation from the previous project.
• Engagement may be terminated at any time without reason, with one month’s notice.
• A person desiring to leave must give one month’s notice or payment of one-month remuneration in lieu thereof.

Other Conditions

• CSIR-NISCPR reserves the right to cancel or withdraw the offer in case of any discrepancy.
• Project staff must make their own accommodation arrangements. HRA will be admissible as per the sponsoring agency rules.
• The number of positions may increase or decrease.
• No TA will be paid for appearing in the interview.
• Other terms and conditions will be governed by guidelines issued by the funding agency/CSIR-NISCPR.
• Canvassing in any form will lead to disqualification.
