EdCIL (India) Limited, a “Mini Ratna” Category-I CPSE under the Ministry of Education, Govt. of India, is a continuously profit-making and fast-growing company providing Project Management & Consultancy Services in Education and Human Resource Development both in India and overseas. The company achieved a turnover of Rs. 656 crores during FY 2023-24 and is currently undergoing a major transformation with IT-enabled services to achieve a quantum jump in its turnover. - General Manager (Digital Education Systems)
- Number of Post: 1 (UR)
- Grade: E-5
- Pay Scale: ₹80,000-2,20,000 (IDA Pay Scale)
- Tenure Track: 5 years, extendable for 2 more years based on performance or till superannuation
- General Manager (Business Development)
- Number of Post: 1 (UR)
- Grade: E-5
- Pay Scale: ₹80,000-2,20,000 (IDA Pay Scale)
- Tenure Track: 5 years, extendable for 2 more years based on performance or till superannuation
- Officer Trainees
- Number of Post: 10 (1 UR, 1 UR-EWS, 4 OBC, 3 SC, 1 ST)
- Grade: S-7
- Pay Scale: ₹37,500-1,31,800 (IDA Pay Scale)
- Basis: Regular basis
- Training/Probation: 1 year training followed by 1 year probation, then absorbed as Executive (S-7), Group-B
Eligibility Criteria
General Manager (Digital Education Systems)
- Educational Qualification (Essential): Post Graduate in Engineering with specialization in IT and Computer Science, Computer Application Technology, Electronics, Communication, and related disciplines.
- Educational Qualification (Desirable): PhD in relevant disciplines and modern areas of IT, ICT, AI applications relevant for the Education sector domain.
- Experience (Essential):
- Post Graduate: Minimum 16 years Post Qualification work experience in relevant areas of handling project execution and service delivery of IT/ICT Projects, design, development of comprehensive technology-enabled system for an organization, educational institute, or large-scale ITES systems development using latest trends, including AI, ML, etc.
- (OR) PhD in relevant disciplines: Minimum 14 years Post Qualification work experience in relevant areas as above.
- At least two years’ experience in a CPSE / PSU / Autonomous body of the Central Government, state, and statutory bodies, in the Pay scale of ₹70,000-2,00,000 (IDA) or equivalent scale of CDA, or CTC of ₹20 Lakhs per annum, in the last 2 years.
- Experience (Desirable): Experience in the creation and management of digital education platform and related services.
- Age: Not above 44 years as on 30.06.2025.
General Manager (Business Development)
- Educational Qualification (Essential): Post Graduate in Engineering & Technology, Science, Arts, Management, and relevant areas as notified by the Government of India, statutory bodies of the Ministry of Education (UGC, AICTE, etc.).
- Educational Qualification (Desirable): Any higher qualification in the relevant disciplines, or an MBA and/or related disciplines.
- Experience (Essential):
- Minimum 16 years post-qualification work experience in relevant areas, including business development/marketing, research and analytics in education, social sector and development sector economics, and industrial development.
- At least two years’ experience in a CPSE / PSU / Autonomous body of the Central Government, state, and statutory bodies, in the Pay scale of ₹70,000-2,00,000 (IDA) or equivalent scale of CDA, or CTC of ₹20 Lakhs per annum, in the last 2 years.
- Age: Not above 44 years as on 30.06.2025.
Officer Trainee
- Educational Qualification (Essential): Any graduate in Engineering /Technology/ Management/ Arts / Science / Law/Computer Sciences & and other relevant disciplines as approved by UGC or AICTE and such statutory bodies of the Government of India.
- Educational Qualification (Desirable): Any higher degree (minimum 2 years duration) from the relevant discipline / specializations.
- Experience (Essential): No mandatory requirement of prior work experience.
- Age: Not above 28 years as on 30.06.2025.
General Conditions for Eligibility
- Only Indian Nationals shall apply.
- Degree/Diploma must be from an institute recognized by Central/State Government or AICTE/UGC.
- Graduation or Post Graduation must be a full-time program from a reputable institute following Government of India norms.
- Candidates for General Manager posts should be in service as of the online application submission date and interview date.
- For General Manager posts, candidates with last experience from Central Govt./State Govt./Autonomous bodies/Public Sector Undertaking/organizations with minimum turnover of Rs.100 Crores/Listed companies only will be considered.
- The cut-off date for age and experience will be 30.06.2025.
Age Relaxation
- SC/ST: 5 years
- OBC-NCL: 3 years
- Ex-servicemen: 5 years
- PwD (Person with Disability): 10 years
- Candidates domiciled in Jammu & Kashmir during 01/01/1980 to 31/12/1989: 5 years
- EdCIL’s regular employees: Up to 7 years to the extent of service already rendered in the company

- For General Manager (E-5) posts, candidates from Govt. Dept./PSU/Autonomous bodies must also forward their APAR/ACR for the last 5 years along with hard copies of their application.

Selection Process
- Screening and selection will be based on the details provided by the candidates.
- Merely fulfilling eligibility criteria does not guarantee an interview call.
- Shortlisting for interview will be based on qualifications, experience, other qualifying criteria, and the overall requirement of the job.
- Only shortlisted candidates will be called for interview / Written Aptitude Test (WAT).
- Eligibility will be confirmed based on submission/verification of all original certificates/documents at the time of the interview.
- NOC is required at the time of the interview for employees from Government/PSUs/Autonomous bodies; failure to produce NOC or proper forwarding will result in cancellation/rejection of candidature.
- Outstation candidates appearing for the interview will be reimbursed Travelling Allowance as per company rules.
- EdCIL reserves the right to shortlist/reject any candidate based on suitability and total applications received.
- EdCIL reserves the right to withhold, cancel, withdraw, or amend any part of the recruitment process and to increase or decrease vacancies.

Remuneration and Benefits
- Selected General Managers will be placed in the IDA pay scale of ₹80000-220000 (E-5).
- In addition to Basic Pay, they will be entitled to DA, HRA/Leased accommodation, Performance Related Pay (PRP), Leave Encashment, Medical Facilities, Perks, and superannuation benefits (PF, Gratuity, PRMS, NPS) as per company rules.
- For CPSE candidates, current basic pay (if higher) shall be protected. Additional increment(s) may be considered in deserving cases.
