Recruitment Drive Announced by IBPS for Regional Rural Banks

The Institute of Banking Personnel Selection (IBPS) has announced a new recruitment process, CRP RRBs-XIV, to fill positions for Officers (Scale-I, II & III) and Office Assistants (Multipurpose) in Regional Rural Banks (RRBs) across India. The online registration for this recruitment drive is open from September 1, 2025, to September 21, 2025.


Key Dates and Examination Schedule

The examinations for this recruitment will be conducted in an online format. The tentative schedule for the various stages of the process has been released.

  • Online Registration and Fee Payment: The application and fee payment window for candidates is from September 1, 2025, to September 21, 2025.
  • Preliminary Examination: The online preliminary examination for Officers and Office Assistants is scheduled for November/December 2025.
  • Main/Single Examination: The online main/single examination will be held in December 2025 / February 2026.
  • Interviews: Interviews for Officer posts are tentatively scheduled for January/February 2026.
  • Provisional Allotment: The provisional allotment of selected candidates is slated for February/March 2026.

Examination Structure and Selection Process

The selection process varies for different posts within the recruitment drive.

  • For Officers Scale-I and Office Assistants (Multipurpose): The selection process is a two-tier examination, consisting of a Preliminary and a Main examination. Candidates who qualify in the preliminary exam will be shortlisted for the main exam.
  • For Officers Scale-II and Scale-III: The selection for these posts will be based on a single-level online examination.

Shortlisted candidates for all Officer posts (Scale-I, II, and III) from their respective online examinations will be called for a common interview. The provisional allotment of Office Assistants will be based solely on the marks obtained in the online main examination. The final combined score for Officer posts will be determined by the online main/single examination and the interview, with a weightage ratio of 80:20 respectively.


Eligibility Criteria and Participating Banks

Candidates are advised to read the detailed notification carefully to ensure they meet the eligibility criteria, including nationality, age, educational qualifications, and experience.1 2

  • Age Limits (as of 01.09.2025):
    • Office Assistants (Multipurpose): Between 18 and 28 years of age.
    • Officer Scale-I: Above 18 and below 30 years.
    • Officer Scale-II: Above 21 and below 32 years.
    • Officer Scale-III: Above 21 and below 40 years.

Age relaxation will be provided for candidates from reserved categories such as Scheduled Caste (SC), Scheduled Tribe (ST), Other Backward Classes (OBC), Persons with Benchmark Disability (PwBD), and Ex-Servicemen.

The notification also lists 28 participating Regional Rural Banks across various states and union territories, including Andhra Pradesh Grameena Bank, Assam Gramin Vikash Bank, and Kerala Gramin Bank. Proficiency in the local language of the state is an essential qualification for Officer Scale-I and Office Assistants.
