Salary & Pay Scale Details

• Pay Scale: Level 10 – ₹56,100 – 1,77,500/- (7th Pay Commission)
• Starting Salary: ₹56,100/- per month for Lieutenant rank
• Military Service Pay (MSP): ₹15,500/- per month (fixed from Lieutenant to Brigadier)
• Additional Benefits: DA, HRA/Housing Accommodation, Medical Facilities, Transport Allowance
• Special Allowances: Field Area Allowance, Technical Allowance (Tier-I & II), Flying Allowance for Pilots
• Job Security: 10 years Short Service Commission with option to apply for Permanent Commission
• Career Growth: Lieutenant → Captain → Major → Lt Colonel → Colonel → Brigadier
• Insurance Coverage: ₹1 Crore life insurance during service

• Difficulty Level: High – Requires engineering background and SSB interview
• Expected Applications: 80,000-1,00,000 candidates for 350 posts
• Competition Ratio: Approximately 1:250 to 1:300 (Very High Competition)
• SSB Success Rate: Only 8-12% candidates get recommended in SSB interview
• Overall Selection Rate: Less than 0.4% – Requires excellent preparation and leadership qualities
• Preparation Time: 6-12 months recommended for SSB preparation along with technical knowledge
