You’ll play a key role in developing innovative browser extensions, focusing on creating seamless, user-friendly experiences, and ensuring high performance and compatibility across different browsers. Responsibilities:What You’ll Do:
System design, develop, test, and maintain Shopify extensions, ensuring high quality and functionality.Complete ownership should be taken of your project.Work with modern web technologies (HTML, CSS, JavaScript) to create interactive and user-friendly browser interfaces.Ensure compatibility and performance across different browsers and platforms.Collaborate with UI/UX designers to translate design vision into functional extensions.Implement user authentication and authorization for secure data handling within extensions.Optimize extension performance and address any compatibility issues.Stay up-to-date with the latest extension development practices and web technologies.
What You’ll Need:Proficiency in HTML, CSS, JavaScript, and experience in developing browser extensions.Understanding of Chrome Extension APIs and cross-browser compatibility issues.Knowledge in user authentication and secure data handling within browser environments.Experience with version control tools, such as Git.Excellent problem-solving skills with a focus on efficient and effective solutions.Strong communication skills and the ability to collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams.Good time management and organizational abilities.
Nice to Have:Experience with frameworks like React.js or Vue.js.Familiarity with building and maintaining browser automation scripts.Understanding of backend technologies and platforms, like Node.js and AWS.Experience with continuous integration and continuous deployment (CI/CD) pipelines.
