Small Industries Development Bank of India (SIDBI) has released Advertisement No. 03/Grade ‘A’ and ‘B’ / 2025-26 for the recruitment of Officers in Grade ‘A’ and Grade ‘B’ (General and Specialist Stream) for the year 2025. Applications are invited from eligible candidates for these positions.
SIDBI is the Principal Financial Institution established under an Act of Parliament to promote, finance, and develop the Micro, Small and Medium Enterprises (MSMEs) sector in India. Its mission is to facilitate and strengthen credit flow to MSMEs and address financial and developmental gaps in the MSME eco-system. SIDBI aims to be a single window for the financial and developmental needs of the MSME sector. The bank is seeking dynamic and ambitious youngsters to join its team.
SIDBI Recruitment 2025 for Officers in Grade ‘A’ & Grade ‘B’ : Key Details
- Posts Available: Assistant Manager Grade ‘A’ (General Stream) and Manager Grade ‘B’ (General, Legal, and Information Technology Streams).
- Pay Scale and Emoluments:
- Assistant Manager Grade ‘A’ General Stream: ₹44500-2500(4)-54500-2850(7)-74450-EB-2850(4)-85850-3300(1)-89150 (17 years), with minimum gross emoluments of approximately ₹1,00,000/- per month.
- Manager Grade ‘B’ (General and Specialist Stream): ₹55200-2850(9)-80850-EB-2850(2)-86550-3300(4)-99750 (16 years), with minimum gross emoluments of approximately ₹1,15,000/- per month.
- The above PayScale is currently due for revision.
- Gross emoluments include Dearness Allowance, Grade Allowance, Special Allowance, Local Compensatory Allowance, etc. Other facilities include gratuity, leave fare concession, medical expenses reimbursement, vehicle maintenance allowance, and concessional loans.
- The Cost to Company (CTC) for Grade ‘A’ Officers ranges from ₹19 lakh to ₹21 lakh, and for Grade ‘B’ Officers from ₹23.5 lakh to ₹26 lakh, depending on the place of posting.
- Probation Period: Selected candidates will be on probation for 2 years, extendable up to a maximum of 4 years.
- Posting/Transfer: Selected candidates are liable to be posted/transferred to various offices/verticals/associates/subsidiaries of SIDBI across India.
- Vacancies: The total number of vacancies, including reserved ones, is provisional and may vary based on SIDBI’s actual requirements.

- Nationality/Citizenship: A candidate must be a citizen of India, or a subject of Nepal or Bhutan, or a Tibetan refugee (who came to India before January 1, 1962, with the intention of permanent settlement), or a person of Indian origin who migrated from specified countries with the intention of permane1ntly settling in India.
- Age Limit (as on July 14, 2025):
- Grade ‘A’ Officers: Not below 21 years and not exceeding 30 years. Candidates born between July 14, 1995, and July 15, 2004 (both days inclusive) are eligible.
- Grade ‘B’ Officers: Not below 25 years and not exceeding 33 years. Candidates born between July 14, 1992, and July 15, 2000 (both days inclusive) are eligible.
- Age Relaxation:
- Scheduled Caste/Scheduled Tribe: 5 years
- Other Backward Classes (Non-creamy layer): 3 years
- Persons with Benchmark Disability (PwBD) [Unreserved/EWS]: 10 years
- PwBD [OBC candidates]: 13 years (cumulative with OBC relaxation)
- PwBD [SC/ST candidates]: 15 years (cumulative with SC/ST relaxation)

- Educational Qualifications and Experience (as on August 11, 2025):
- Assistant Manager Grade ‘A’ (General Stream):
- Graduation1 in Commerce/Mathematics/Economics/Statistics/Business Administration/Engineering with a minimum of 60% marks (50% for SC/ST/PwBD applicants) OR
- Company Secretary (CS)/Certified Management Accountant (CMA/ICWA)/Chartered Financial Analyst (CFA)2 OR
- Chartered Accountant3 (CA) OR
- MBA/PGDM4 (full-time 2 years) in any discipline from a UGC/Govt. of India recognized University/Institution.
- Experience (only for candidates with educational qualification 1 and 2): At least two years’ experience in credit dispensation in MSME/Corporate and lending to trading and small commercial loans as an officer (permanent) in All India Financial Institutions or Scheduled Commercial Banks.
- Manager Grade ‘B’ (Legal Stream):
- Bachelor’s degree in law from any UGC/Govt. of India recognized University/Institution with a minimum of 50% marks (45% for SC/ST and PwBD candidates, if vacancies are reserved for them) and enrolled as an advocate with the Bar Council of India.
- Experience: At least five years’ work experience, post bachelor’s degree in law, as a Law Officer in the Legal Department of RBI, SEBI, All-India Financial Institutions, Scheduled Commercial Banks, Central Public Sector Enterprises (CPSEs), or NBFCs registered with RBI.
- Manager Grade ‘B’ (Information Technology Stream):
- Bachelor’s degree in engineering/technology in Computer Science/Computer Technology/Information Technology/Electronics/Electronics & Communications from a UGC/Govt. of India recognized University/Institution with 60% marks (SC/ST/PWBD applicants 55%) in aggregate OR
- MCA from a UGC/Govt. of India recognized University/Institution with 60% marks (SC/ST/PWBD applicants 55%) in aggregate.
- Experience: At least five years’ experience in Information Technology as an IT/System officer in All India Financial Institutions, Scheduled Commercial Banks, or Listed Companies.
- Assistant Manager Grade ‘A’ (General Stream):
- Single Application: A candidate can apply for only one post. Multiple applications will lead to forfeiture of fees for other registrations, with only the latest valid application being retained.

- Candidates must apply ON-LINE through SIDBI’s website.
- No other means/mode of application or printout will be accepted.
- Candidates should read all instructions carefully and ensure they meet the eligibility criteria before applying.
- Application Procedure:
- Go to the SIDBI website and click on “APPLY ONLINE”.
- Click “Click here for New Registration” and enter Name, Contact details, and Email-id. A Provisional Registration Number and Password will be generated.
- Candidates can save partially filled applications using “SAVE AND NEXT”.
- Carefully fill and verify details before clicking “COMPLETE REGISTRATION”. No changes will be possible afterwards.
- Upload Photo & Signature as per specifications.
- Fill other details of the Application Form.
- Preview and verify the entire application before “COMPLETE REGISTRATION”.
- Proceed to the ‘Payment’ tab.
- Payment of Fees (Online Mode):
- Payment can be made using Debit Cards, Credit Cards, Internet Banking, IMPS, Cash Cards/Mobile Wallets.
- Wait for intimation from the server after submitting payment; do not press back or refresh.
- An E-Receipt will be generated on successful completion.
- Take a printout of the E-Receipt and online Application Form.
- Documents to Upload: Photograph (4.5 cm x 3.5 cm), signature (with black ink), left thumb impression (on white paper with black or blue ink), and a handwritten declaration (in English only). Candidates also need to capture and upload a live photograph.
- Handwritten Declaration Text: “I, _______ (Name of the candidate), hereby declare that all the information submitted by me in the application form is correct, true and valid. I will present the supporting documents as and when required.”
- Candidates should have a valid personal email ID, which should be kept active throughout the recruitment process.
SIDBI Recruitment 2025 for Officers in Grade ‘A’ & Grade ‘B’ : Selection Process
The selection process involves three stages:
- Phase I (Online Screening Examination): Consists of one paper with seven sections, totaling 200 marks.
- Phase II (Online Examination): Consists of two papers, totaling 200 marks.
- Phase III (Interview): 100 marks, including marks for notable achievements in extracurricular activities (District/State/National Level), awards/recognition in service, subject to documentary evidence.
- Qualifying Criteria: Candidates must qualify Phase I and Phase II examinations based on minimum cut-off marks decided by SIDBI to be called for the next stage.
- Psychometric Test: The Bank will conduct an online Psychometric Test or other suitable test through a third-party agency to assess personality.
- Negative Marking: For every wrong answer in the objective part of Phase I and Phase II online examinations, 1/4th of the marks assigned to that question will be deducted as a penalty.
- Merit List: Merit lists for each stage will be prepared Grade/stream-wise.
- Interview: Interviews will be conducted for all posts/grades for 100 marks. Candidates can opt for the interview in Hindi or English.
- Calling Ratio: The calling ratio for the Phase-II examination would be a maximum of 1:25, which may be reduced at the bank’s discretion.
- Tie-breaking rules for ranking: In case of same total marks (Phase II + interview), the candidate with higher Phase II marks will be ranked higher. If Phase II marks are also equal, the older candidate will be ranked higher. If still a tie, the candidate with higher qualification or higher graduation marks will be ranked higher.
- Pre-Recruitment Training (PRT): Online PRT will be conducted for willing SC/ST/PwBD/OBC candidates whose applications are eligible. Undergoing PRT does not guarantee selection.
- Examination Centers: Online examinations will be conducted in various cities across India. Interviews will tentatively be held at Chennai, Kolkata, Lucknow, Mumbai, and New Delhi. Candidates indicate their preferred center in the application form. SIDBI reserves the right to change/add/cancel centers and allot candidates to any center.
- Call Letters: Intimations to download call letters for PRT/Online Exam/Interview will be sent via email and SMS to the registered email ID and mobile number. No hard copy will be sent. Candidates must bring their call letter with an authenticated copy of ID proof and an additional photograph to the examination venue.

Other Important Information
- Service Conditions/Career Prospects: Candidates will be governed by the “defined contribution New Pension Scheme (NPS)” or other schemes notified by the Government of India.
- Advance Increments: Candidates with JAIIB/CAIIB qualifications may be considered for one/two advance increments. SIDBI may also grant up to 4 advance increments (including JAIIB/CAIIB increments) for candidates with good academic qualifications or special experience valuable to SIDBI.
- Reservations / Relaxations / Concessions: These will be provided to SC/ST/OBC/EWS/PwBD candidates as per Government of India guidelines.
- Persons with Benchmark Disabilities (PwBD): Reservation is as per “The Rights of Persons with Disabilities Act, 2016”. This includes categories like Orthopedically Challenged (OC), Visual Impairment (VI), Hearing Impaired (HI), and Multiple Disabilities (MD)/Intellectual Disability (ID). Candidates must possess a disability certificate from a Competent Authority.
- Scribe and Compensatory Time for PwBD: Visually impaired candidates and those whose writing speed is permanently affected can use their own scribe at their cost. They are also eligible for compensatory time of 20 minutes per hour of examination.
- Economically Weaker Section (EWS): Persons not covered under SC/ST/OBC reservations and whose family gross annual income is below ₹8.00 lakh are identified as EWS. Exclusions apply based on asset ownership (agricultural land 5 acres and above, residential flat of 1000 sq. ft. and above, residential plot of 100 sq. yards and above in notified municipalities, or 200 sq. yards and above in other areas). EWS candidates need an Income and Asset Certificate from a Competent Authority.
- General Instructions:
- Appointments are subject to medical fitness, satisfactory character and antecedents report, previous employer and referee reports, and verification of certificates.
- Printouts of online applications should not be sent to SIDBI.
- Furnishing false or incorrect information, or suppressing material facts, will lead to cancellation of candidature or termination of services.
- Candidates must appear for PRT/Online examination/Personal Interview at their own cost and risk.
- Eligible outstation SC/ST/PwBD candidates called for interview will be reimbursed II AC class to & fro railway/bus fare.
- Candidates currently in Government/Quasi-Government organizations or PSUs must produce a proper relieving letter/discharge certificate at the time of joining.
- Only candidates willing to serve anywhere in India may apply.
- Prohibition of Unfair Means: Any candidate found resorting to unfair means will be disqualified, debarred from examinations, and liable for termination of service if already joined. SIDBI reserves the right to cancel candidature if responses show patterns of similarity, indicating shared answers.
