How to Apply

Candidates of Indian nationality, Overseas Citizens of India (OCI) card holders, and foreign nationals who fulfill the conditions are eligible to apply. The appointment will be subject to necessary clearance/approval.

  • Document Upload: Candidates must upload all required documents mentioned in the form at the time of filling the Online Application.
  • Incomplete applications: Incomplete and non-submitted online applications will be summarily rejected.
  • Through Proper Channel: Persons working under Central/State Government/Autonomous Body/Semi Government Organisations and other Public Sector Undertakings must obtain permission from their Head of the Organisation to apply and produce it at the time of examination/interview.

Selection Process

The selection process varies by post and will consist of Interview, Written Examination, and/or Skill Test. The mode of selection for each post is detailed below:

  • For Sr. No. 1 to 22 & 40 (Consultant and some Scientific Officer posts): Interview only.
  • For Sr. No. 23 to 38 (Most Scientific Assistant posts): Written Examination & Interview.
    • Paper Pattern: 100 marks (MCQ or MCQ & Subjective).
    • Syllabus: Questions will be based on the respective area of specialization/expertise.
  • For Sr. No. 39 & 41 to 48 (Technician, Nurse, Assistant Security Officer, Cook posts): Written Examination & Skill Test.
    • Skill Test: Will be of qualifying nature only.
    • Paper Pattern: 100 marks (MCQ or MCQ & Subjective).
    • Syllabus: Questions will be based on the respective area of specialization/expertise.
  • Physical Test for Assistant Security Officer:
    • 100 meters run: Civilians (16 seconds), Ex-Servicemen (20 seconds).
    • Push Ups: Age-group specific (e.g., Up to 30 yrs: 08-09).
    • Sit ups: Age-group specific (e.g., Up to 30 yrs: 25-29).
    • Candidates qualifying the Physical endurance test will proceed to the Written Examination followed by Skill Test.
  • Screening: Candidates will be initially screened and called for Interview/Written Examination/Skill Test based on information provided in the online application form.
  • Original Documents: Candidates called for Interview/Written Examination/Skill Test must carry original documents along with one set of copy for verification (Date of Birth, Educational Qualification, Experience Certificates, Caste Certificate, EWS Certificate, PwBD Certificate, NOC from current employer, etc.). Failure to do so will result in disqualification.
  • TMC’s Discretion: Tata Memorial Centre reserves the right to fix minimum eligibility standards/benchmarks, restrict the number of candidates called for tests/interviews, and finalize selections. The Director’s decision in this regard is final. Mere fulfillment of prescribed qualifications does not guarantee being called for a test/interview.
  • Disqualification: Candidature will be cancelled if found at any stage that eligibility criteria are not met, or incorrect/false/incomplete information is provided, or material facts are suppressed. Services are liable to be terminated even after appointment if shortcomings are detected.
  • Canvassing: Canvassing in any form will lead to disqualification.

Important Dates

  • Last Date for Online Application: 08.08.2025 (up to 05.30 p.m. Indian Standard Time).
  • Age & Experience Reckoning Date: 08.08.2025. Experience will be reckoned post required qualifications.

Application Fee

  • Fee: Rs.300/- (online payment via Debit Card/Credit Card).
  • Exemptions: SC/ST/Female Candidates/Persons with Disabilities/Ex-servicemen (1st time applying for civil post after serving any rank) are exempted from paying application fees.
  • Non-Refundable: The application fee paid will not be refunded under any circumstances.

Age Relaxation

Upper age limit is relaxable as per Government of India instructions:

  • SC/ST: 05 Years
  • OBC: 03 Years
  • PWD: 10 Years (additional 5 years for SC/ST & 3 years for OBC)
  • Ex-servicemen: Length of service in Armed forces plus 3 years (additional relaxation for SC/ST/OBC as per Govt. instructions).
  • Note: If the post is only for the unreserved category, age relaxation will not be applicable to reserved candidates.
  • TMC Employees: Maximum 5 years age relaxation for TMC employees and those working on a temporary/project/contract basis.

Posting and Transfer

  • Rotation: Candidates appointed may be rotated across any Units of TMC (Tata Memorial Hospital, Mumbai, ACTREC, Navi Mumbai, Homi Bhabha Cancer Hospital, Sangrur, Homi Bhabha Cancer Hospital & Research Centre, Mullanpur, Homi Bhabha Cancer Hospital & Research Centre, Vizag, Mahamana Pt. Madan Mohan Malaviya Cancer Centre (BHU), Varanasi, Homi Bhabha Cancer Hospital, Varanasi, BBCI, Guwahati) as and when necessary.
  • Transfer Restriction: Selected candidates must serve at the respective location for a minimum of 5 years before requesting a transfer. TMC management reserves the right to transfer any staff member.
  • Contract Basis: TMC may offer appointments on a “Contract Basis” for a fixed term on a consolidated remuneration.5
