Dehradun: The Uttarakhand Public Service Commission has announced a date for the Uttarakhand Judicial Service Civil Judge (Junior Division) Examination 2023. As per a notice released by the commission on August 20, 2025, the preliminary examination is now scheduled to be held on Sunday, August 31, 2025, from 10:00 AM to 1:00 PM. The exam will be conducted at various centers across all 13 districts of Uttarakhand.
The commission has also made provisions for scribes (writers) for visually impaired and orthopedically handicapped candidates. These candidates who require a scribe must submit an application to the Secretary of the Uttarakhand Public Service Commission at Haridwar by 5:00 PM on August 22, 2025. The application must include two recent passport-size photographs, their admit card for the preliminary examination, and documents related to their educational qualifications, all to be sent via email to soexamtwo2@gmail.com.
The commission has clarified that the educational qualifications of the scribe must not be higher than the minimum qualifications required for the post, but the scribe’s qualification should not be less than the 12th standard. The commission will provide scribes to candidates who submit their applications on time. No requests will be entertained after the specified date and time.1
