Oil India Limited (OIL), a Maharatna Public Sector Undertaking, is looking to engage personnel from Assam and Arunachal Pradesh on a purely contractual basis for immediate placement at their Field Headquarters in Duliajan. These contractual engagements may involve working in shifts, including arduous and hazardous jobs in remote OIL installations, and also “On-Call” duty.1

Eligibility Criteria

Contractual Electrician (8 positions)

  • Education:
    • 10th pass from a Government recognized Board/University.
    • ITI Electrician (2 years) from a Government recognized Board/University.
  • Certifications: Must possess Electrical Permit for workmen Part I & II.
  • Desirable Qualification: 1-year post-qualification work experience OR 1-year Apprenticeship Training.
  • Age Limit (as on registration date):
    • Minimum: 20 years
    • Maximum: General – 35 years, SC/ST – 40 years, OBC (NCL) – 38 years
  • Emolument:
    • Fixed: ₹21,450.00 per month (based on attendance, including paid leave, holiday).
    • Variable: ₹825.00 per day for each working day.

Contractual Associate Engineer (Electrical) (7 positions)

  • Education:
    • 3 years Diploma in Electrical Engineering from a Government recognized Board/University.
  • Certifications: Electrical Supervisor’s Certificate of Competency (Part I, II, III & IV).
  • Desirable Qualification: Electrical Supervisor’s Certificate of Competency, Part VIII.
  • Age Limit (as on registration date):
    • Minimum: 20 years
    • Maximum: General – 35 years, SC/ST – 40 years, OBC (NCL) – 38 years
  • Emolument:
    • Fixed: ₹24,960.00 per month (based on attendance, including paid leave, holiday).
    • Variable: ₹960.00 per day for each working day.

Reservation

  • Contractual Electrician: UR – 3, SC – 1, ST – 1, OBC (NCL) – 2, EWS – 1.
  • Contractual Associate Engineer (Electrical): UR – 4, SC – 1, ST – 1, OBC (NCL) – 1, EWS – 0.

Selection Process

The selection process involves a Walk-in-Practical/Skill Test cum Personal Assessment(s).

  • Registration: Candidates must register at the venue between 07:00 A.M. to 09:00 A.M. on the scheduled date. No registration will be allowed beyond these timings.
  • Document Verification: Information furnished by the candidate will be verified from original documents. Only candidates meeting the eligibility criteria with original documents will be allowed to appear for the assessment.
  • Pass Marks: Minimum 50% in the Walk-in-Practical/Skill Test cum Personal Assessment(s).
  • Final Selection: Based on merit as per the marks obtained in the Walk-in-Practical/Skill Test cum Personal Assessment(s).

Interested candidates should fill out the Personal Bio-Data form (provided on the last two pages of the advertisement) and bring it along with the following documents on the scheduled date for the Walk-in-Practical/Skill Test cum Personal Assessment:

  • One recent 3cm x 3cm colored photograph.

    • Valid Identity Proof and valid Address Proof from Competent Government Authority.
    • Admit Card, Marksheet, and Pass Certificate of Class 10 (as proof of date of birth).
    • Documents/Certificates/Testimonials of essential qualification.
    • Valid Electrical Workman’s Permit/Valid Electrical Supervisory Certificate of Competency from Electrical Licensing Board, Government of Assam (as applicable).
    • Relevant Work Experience Certificate (as applicable).
    • Valid Caste Certificate (SC/ST/OBC) from Competent Government Authority (if applicable).
    • Valid Non-Creamy Layer Certificate from Competent Government Authority (if applicable).
    • Valid Income and Asset Certificate for Economically Weaker Sections (if applicable).
    • Valid Disability Certificate from Competent Government Authority (if applicable).
    • Valid Discharge Book/Service and Release Certificate for Ex-Servicemen (if applicable).
    • Any other documents/certificates/testimonials from Competent Authority in support of candidature.
  • No-Objection Certificate (in original) from the concerned employer, if currently working in any organization.

Terms and Conditions

  • Candidates are responsible for their own travel and accommodation for the assessment. No TA/DA will be provided.
  • False declarations, fabricated documents, or misbehavior will lead to disqualification and potential legal action.
  • Canvassing will result in rejection of candidature.
  • Engagement is subject to pre-engagement formalities, including document verification, medical fitness, and submission of a Police verification certificate.
  • Selected candidates must be of sound health and submit a fitness certificate.
  • Candidates currently employed must submit a release letter from their present employer at the time of engagement.
  • Selected candidates are required to join immediately. A maximum extension of 15 days may be granted, failing which selection will be cancelled.
  • Selected candidates are responsible for their own accommodation costs.
  • Selected candidates can be placed at any location deemed fit by the competent authority.
  • This engagement is purely contractual and does not confer any right/claim for employment in Oil India Limited.

  • Oil India Limited reserves the right to cancel or postpone the engagement process at any stage without assigning any reason.
